What-are-Hybris-out-of-the-box-features

The out-of-the-box SAP Commerce Hybris extensions are good examples of customizing the platform directly provided by SAP.

They can be used as a reference for implementation and, with a few exceptions, can be considered as a method recommended by the provider.

The extensions are in the form of source code, with comments and documentation. This is a good starting point for finding a solution: the way SAP recommends their packaged extensions is probably better than anything else because you never know what side effects you might suffer from using the experimental solution. After all, why reinvent the wheel? Of course, there are exceptions: everything is not perfect. However, it is important to understand the exceptions as well.

Learning by examples and designing by examples have a lot in common. You can use this approach to develop the skills of novice developers and hone your own expertise. For me personally, there is no other way to learn solution architecture than to study the experience of others.

As I examined the extensions, I took notes. These notes formed the basis for the series of articles in this section. I separate the notes into packages and publish them as separate blog posts, one per package. Later, I will combine blog posts and create an index for easy navigation.
